   In its simplest form, the schema markup is a form of structured data that will helps Google to gain a better understanding of a webpage content. When a search engine understands the content better, it can be reward you with the rich snippets and help to return more than relevant to search results. When Google crawls a website, it will reads the HTML to parse out what the page is about. As the crawler moves to your website, it reads the HTML to determine what the page is about. In some case, it might be come across heading tag.

CREATE A SIMPLE HTML TABLE

Once you have been completed your review article, manually add the simple HTML table that will include all the data that you want to captured in the Structured Data Markup output.

To keep things in simple, create the table that includes the following:

  • A short summary of review
  • The author of review
  • Rating of the product

The next step is to write the very simple piece of script that will add to the Review data elements as Schema markup in the article. The data elements in Schema markup need to be the same as the data in the table you can be created in step 1. VALIDATE THE SCHEMA MARKUP

It’s important to validate structured data that you’ve just been created, before publishing it as the part of review article. Head over to the Schema Markup validator tool and submit the script that you can created in the previous step. If there are no errors, it’s been safe to publish.

To speed the things up, I recommend you to request a priority indexing of your review article in the Google Search Console. This way you’ll see your Review Snippet and appear sooner rather than later in the Google’s search results. If the item you’ve reviewed is the product, you will been see it listed in the Search Console under Enhancements – Products, like so:

Here is the step by step process to add review markup in the website to gain more traffic.

INSTALL ALL IN ONE SEO (AIOSEO)

The first step to getting a product knowledge panel is to install and activate All In One SEO (AIOSEO).

After installing and activating AIOSEO, adding review schema is a cinch. To do so, you must first add the review schema to your post or page by opening the page in the editor mode.

Next, scroll down to AIOSEO Settings. Make sure that the schema markup on that page is set to be our blog or page related. If not, then click on the Generate Schema button. This will be open up our Schema Catalog, a selection of schema markup types from which you can select and add some related schema markup.

The next step to adding the related review schema like product or article is filling in your review details. To get started, click edit schema button:

Doing so will open a window with fields for all relevant review details that will be needed to generate review schema markup.

To add your reviews, scroll down until you will find the Review section.

Once you’ve added your reviews, click on to the Add Schema button.
